Senior Manager Energy & Utilities Chicago

LinkedIn

With well-honed organization skills and a “let’s do this” attitude, Nicole gets things done. She has worked with more than 50 utilities on advanced metering and associated technology projects, leading them to realize millions of dollars in value.

She has been employed by a range of utilities and municipalities to evaluate, implement, and optimize smart water, smart grid, and smart city programs, and she’s been instrumental in building capabilities to do this work—including a stakeholder engagement offering that increased awareness and technology adoption among utility employees and customers, and several survey-based assessment tools.

She enjoys making connections with people and collaborating with utility executives, project teams, industry experts, and the public. She prides herself on her teams’ ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with excellent quality.

She joined West Monroe from E Source Companies (previously UtiliWorks Consulting), where she spent 12 years, most recently in the Technology Planning and Implementation division. She earned bachelor’s degrees in environmental science and journalism/media studies from Rutgers University.

What makes Nicole different

Her favorite activities are swimming and snowboarding. She was the captain of the snowboard team at Rutgers, but she recently got a Peloton and now considers herself hooked. She has lived in Texas, Switzerland, New York, Louisiana, and now North Carolina.

Where Nicole makes an impact

Nicole takes great pride in watching the employees she mentors grow in their careers and self-confidence. She fulfills her passion for conservation and sustainability not only through her work but also by contributing to the Duke Energy Renewable Advantage program and Charity Water, whose mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to people around the world.
