Rick has the experience to help his clients work through challenges they face when implementing complex software development, systems integration, and cloud migration programs. He is well-versed in lean and agile software and product development methodologies at the team, program, and enterprise level.

Prior to his time at West Monroe, he played a key role in pioneering the use of Kanban principles in software engineering. He held various IT and business leadership roles with Corbis Images for more than a decade, eventually helping launch the Branded Entertainment Network when Corbis expanded into providing brand integration and rights clearance services for the entertainment industry. His areas of focus included program and project management, IT process improvement, and online product development.

He has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Oregon State University, and a graduate certificate from University of Denver.

What makes Rick different

Rick’s precision and focus helped him well before his current career. He played Division I collegiate golf and was a Division I head golf coach while in graduate school at Oregon State. He won three state amateur golf championships during his competitive golf career.

Where Rick makes an impact

Originally hailing from Canada, Rick and his wife, Hanne – a native of Norway – raised their two sons in Kirkland, Washington, a suburb of Seattle. Frank, their older son, is currently working as a flight instructor with the aim of becoming a pilot. Their youngest, Erik, plays junior hockey in Calgary, Alberta.
